The Best Kept Secret of Gulf Coast Big Game Fishermen!

Woolybooger Lures was started by a charter boat captain from Louisiana and the lures were fished primarily in the Gulf of Mexico for Marlin, Sailfish, Tuna and Dolphin. The lures were produced in small quantities and fished by a select few captains. Captain Auggie Wampler of the Predator out of Bud and Mary’s Marina in Islamorada, Florida recently reported catching a wahoo and being struck by a blue marlin while pulling a blue and white Sugar Pop.

Three years ago we obtained several Woolybooger Sugar Pop lures and fished them in the Bahamas. We were shocked at the number of Marlin, Yellowfin Tuna and Dolphin that struck the lure. In 2007 we were unable to buy any of the lures and tracked down the owner in Louisiana and bought the company and moved it to Fort Myers, Florida.
We are fully stocked with three size lures, Sugar Daddy – 14 inch, Sugar Pop -12 inch and Sugar Baby – 10 inch. There are five different head colors and skirts to match. Sugar Daddy is a great flat line lure that can also work great as a teaser. Sugar Pop can be run on long or short outriggers and the shotgun position. Sugar Baby can be run the same positions and works great with a shorter skirt over ballyhoo.

In addition to our lures we also have custom hook sets that were originated by Woolybooger Lures. Hook sets are custom made to order.
